Presentation on Investigating the Ferrante Dress Factory, the still-standing Italianate villa north of Hopewell on Wertsville Road up in the Sourlands. The Ferrante family immigrated from Italy in 1914, operated garment businesses in the Bronx through the 1930s, and then came to Hopewell in 1934. This site was the home of the Ferrante family from 1935 to 1964, and where they operated their dress manufacturing business until 1957 in a since-demolished factory behind.
