The Hopewell Grammar School (also known as the Lincoln Grammar School) was constructed in 1888 at
what is now 12-14 Model Avenue, on the north side of the street between North Greenwood Avenue
and the lumber yard near Voorhees Avenue. The original building with four rooms was expanded on the two sides with two-room wings, followed by a separate adjacent two-room annex building.
