It’s been a busy month, with several major additions already covered in blog posts, so here’s the summary. We finished the month with 123 files in the Archives, including 32 books and documents and 91 maps and aerials (see Updates). The Image Archives included 285 files, 112 photos and 173 postcards, organized by town with 248 of Hopewell Borough, 26 of Pennington, and 11 of Titusville.
Books and Documents
- Added the Hopewell’s Past book by Betty Gantz, through the kind support of her son, Robert. Mrs. Gantz began this project as a series of columns in the Hopewell Valley News from June 1976 through at least January 1986, and then then edited her columns into this book as of 1987.
- Added nomination documents on the Hopewell and Pennington railroad stations from the National Register of Historic Places (1970’s and 1980’s), plus the Hopewell Railroad Station Preservation Plan (1996).

Maps
- Added historic maps of the state of New Jersey, back to 1778, plus extracts from some of early state and world atlases in which these are found.
Images
- Added the new Image Archives section, starting with photos and postcards of buildings and streets in Hopewell Borough, Pennington, and Titusville, each identified by address.
